New year....new blog

Happy 2019 everyone!

I've made a lot of changes in the past several years and one of them has been to slow down and enjoy my surroundings, my life and my family more. Part of that has been deciding what pieces of my business to continue with and what parts to let go of. When you have your own business, it can start to consume you and every moment of your day can become work. I am a worker bee and like to be moving and not idle. My days start with lists and I go and go and go until the list is done and then I sometimes add to it. I get a lot accomplished but I don't always take time to smell the roses. I'm sure many others can relate with how to balance all of the things.

Part of stream lining my business and making my life a bit simpler, has been to let go of my Etsy shop and build up my own website which has been neglected for 5 years. Making art will always be my passion! Watching kids create art is really important to me too! I've recently moved into a larger art studio where I can offer private and group art lessons from time to time.

So, this is the first post of my new blog, and I hope I can keep it up. When I have time....in between all of those things on my to do list.
